  Japanese Shampoo 1/23/2008 10:30:00 AM
<--PREVIOUS  NEXT-->

Finding the perfect shampoo is quite hard for me. I've tried Herbal Essences, Dove, Tresemme, Loreal, VO5, you name it.... I've tried it. But none of them really did anything for my hair. I also heard that Dove tests their products on animals! That's a huge no no in my book. Also, these shampoos tend to dry my hair out and make it look frizzy.

Anyways, I came across Japanese shampoos and decided to try it out. It's called Naive Shampoo from a company called Kanebo. I instantly fell in love with it. It makes your hair so silky and smooth! Not only that, but it smells soOooOOo good! My favorite scent is the peach scent. I got it at a Japanese grocery chain, Mitsuwa. They have several here in Southern California. Those of you that don't live in SoCal or don't have a Japanese grocery store nearby, check this website out : www.pricehot.com. I can't explain to you what kind of website this is... But it's pretty neat! It's just a bunch of random stuff for sale. You can also find these products on Amazon.com and Ebay.com! Try it and tell me what you think!

OH MAN! I've had such haaaard times with shampoo. I'm definitely going to try out this brand. But if I may... you two should really try Frederick Fekkai's "glossy" shampoo and conditioner. He doesn't test on animals, and it makes your hair SO soft and manageable. The only downside is that the smell isn't a really great one. It's pretty normal.

Ooh I've seen Fekkai at the store and was always meaning to try it out one day. I really love that peach shampoo scent though. I would get compliments from my coworkers about how good my hair smelled. Did you know that Kanebo makes peach body wash too? I was pretty addicted.

thanks for blogging about the Naive shampoo. I used it while I was in Japan (2 years ago) and loved what it did to my hair but couldn't for the life of me remember the name; thank goodness I rememebered the image on the product.

side note: I don't recommend anybody using www.pricehot.com website to order these products. They have false advertisements; they sell stuff they don't even have in stock and they don't even indicate that the items are not available. I placed my orders after reading about them here and after they took my money they had the guts to call me to tell me they were out of stock. I called them & wrote them an e-mail about getting my money back and they haven't return either my calls or e-mails.

I just bought this shampoo at a Japanese grocery store in Denver. It is AH-mazing! You can even feel your hair getting softer as it's wet. And the scent is just lovely. I saw this in varieties of aloe, citrus, and I think lychee too. I'd like to try the matching conditioner, but they were all out in this scent. Either way they have me hooked as a regular buyer!
